Sorry when I say remove annotations I meant remove the nodeSelector and tolerations that make it run on virtual kubelet. The config is just as stated in the issue.

Its hard coded https://github.com/nolar/kopf/blob/c2664796a13bafab82fc2ed06855d959726734e3/kopf/_cogs/clients/events.py#L66 this would need to be parameterized to allow changing or you can fork and just statically change it.
Can confirm I am experiencing the same issue using chart 2.3.1 on a clean install. Downgrading to 2.2.2 and it works fine.
