Specifically, it appears to be using the character Ø, unicode code point U+00D8, rather than 0, unicode code point U+0030.

Many fonts are available which utilized slashed zeroes and would allow the browser to interpret the slashed zero as the same character as 0.

The fonts Consolas and Menlo are available by default on Windows and macOS, respectively. I am not sure offhand about common Linux distros. For the sake of simplicity I attached...
