I also noticed this issue, would be nice to have a fix. The same query works fine on gcloud CLI.
Tried out Cursor today and can't use it because of this, quite a shame this still has not been fixed.
I have recently done that, but had not checked if adding a service would now work. But indeed this resolves the issue, thank you. Perhaps it would be better to...
