Script will break with newer versions of npm

While a limited use case scenario, if you are using this for a vagrant setup and you are running it before installing any modules, this script will work for you.

Requires puppet

Same issue here on macOS 10.12.3. I also tried the fix in #86 but that did not correct the issue for me - same as @paulmaunders Any help resolving this...
