We should, but I'd say let's wait a few weeks until the feature is ready. There are still some significant UX changes coming.

Symlinks add too much complexity imho. I also don't fully understand how this much better than just gitignoring the files in place, but I could see the advantage for localization.....
Update: My vote goes to gitignore generated files. After thinking about this a little longer, it just makes sense – generated files outside repo.

That project looks pretty cool, haven't seen it yet. I kinda let development of Transformie slip as IE8 and less becomes less interesting to me nowadays, but maybe they're willing...
