Currently there's no support for that. You only get a callback after the tag is added. I'd welcome a pull request adding that functionality, sounds like a good idea.
You're welcome to submit a Pull Request that does so.
Ok I can do that for now -- build the string on my own. But I think that would be a great feature to fill out this library. Thanks!
