Err actually I misread this. I think you need to just set the expectation on the class you're calling. In the example case it'd be `expect(NotifyMailer).to receive(:warn_email) # etc...`
Now that we've released 3.0 is this change still needed?
If mike perham is against it we're probably not going to add it.
I mean, PRs are welcome, but I feel reasonably confident in speaking for the team that we're not going to to spend time working on it if it's a feature...
