True, it does that, we are working on the fix - usually its because the images are too big. The view is small, so try with images at most 200x200....
Update on the issue: Lexogrine HUD Manager 2.0 will feature endpoint that will fix the issue. It will require small change in the HUDs though.

How would that work in your proposal? Doing things with QR code would kinda not work, given that we don't provide mobile app of any kind
It seems like its the way demos are saved - some config system (ex ESEA) makes demos not sending the same data as on live matches, therefore making demos unusable....
Do you have auto-switch turned off or on in the settings?
