I came here out of confusion from my EF Core tracing using transactions - EF Core SaveChanges creates and releases a savepoint if under a transaction (which I didn't expect)....

 Blue items in the image are npgsql traces, the pink item is EF Core.   These are the traces that confused me. Again, these aren't from EF Core...
