See @jeff-hykins's [macro-commander](https://github.com/jeff-hykin/macro-commander), a fork of this extension which fixes this and works on the current version of VSCode.
Same issue here, running Postfix on one of my servers. The field being labelled 'Email Address' should really be labelled 'Login Username', and shouldn't require an @.
