I have nothing done yet. I played ksmbd in ordinary openwrt images, hence my suggestion.
I was thinking about removing samba36, but that's ok too. Samba4 is very large, I don't see any reason to include smb4 into images. Waste of space IMO.
Sometimes I have to manually restart ksmbd, Windows hasn't seen resources - and I don't know why. IMO ksmbd-server should depends on ksmbd-utils for ksmbd.adduser
Keep those same solutions without duplicating packages/functionality.
I don't understand. Backup already has passwd/shadow file with valid user and password. My question: why after restore backup, system trying recreating valid user? Why is it destroying the username?
OK, but now it's just broken functionality (user without name in passwd file).
Not "need help with this", just question mark...
Or ... drop script for a custom button and compile a gargoyle for all devices on that platform.
