Just to keep you up to date, I've been a bit busy but planning to check this issue very soon.
For how long did you wait? It usually takes around 5 secs to get the device back even with bluetoothctl. Also can you see if you can find the device...
`device.Connected` always fetches the up-to-date value, currently there's no support for events unfortunately.
I'll investigate this tomorrow, definitely is a bug. And no worries about spamming, feel more than free to fire both issues and contributions:)
