This is not because of the nested quoting but because of the multiline escaped commands passed to Python shlex.

This has been rebuilt to pick up colors and to decrease the image size using multi-stage builds.
Ah, ok. I've just gotten started with straight.el so I've not yet explored lockfiles. Entirely possible this is better approach.
