I believe there should be a way to load images from blob urls. It's not always possible to serve medical images from a file server due to privacy concerns.
Still the same issue, couldn't agree more with @ylhsieh , probably a try at scraping that extra penny from the customer, otherwise don't see why there cannot be kill switch,...
