Thanks for the report. What you can do in the meantime is drag and drop, which works in all directions non-indexed -> indexed and indexed -> non-indexed
I've already looked into this, and I have some sort of idea on how we could handle this.

Sure, would be nice to have it implemented for both Grid and headless.
I would prefer if the `@tanstack/virtual` issue gets solved first, as this would cause issues whenever horizontal scroll is present. I can look into their issue in my free time.
