Anyone have any luck resolving this? I'm experiencing this same issue. My SDK appears to be stuck at 1.5.0 despite 8 newer versions being available. 
My colleague @ambitionphp has implemented the `HasUuid` version of the fix in a fork: https://github.com/ambitionphp/laravel-achievements/tree/bugfix We are using this fork for the time being.
I am also experiencing this issue on MacOS using iTerm2
