I just discovered that using proton experimental (bleeding edge) fixes all the performance problems!
Please try using alvr-nightly to see if that helps
This is still broken! Despite the "fix", it's now even worse for me: After starting the broadcast, it breaks after about one minute on ubuntu, but lasts a little longer...
I also noticed that gamemode is ignoring /usr/share/gamemode/gamemode.ini and /etc/gamemode.ini here, only respects my configs if I put the file at .config/gamemode.ini
i'm also having the same issue, but on Arch Linux
