Have the same problem, Ubuntu 22.04.4, Nvidia RTX 3060, driver 535, using X11. Workaround in #10935 of entering big picture with `steam -gamepadui` then exiting works. Workaround `steam -clearbeta` still...

Uh, this may need a reopen. The base issue of "steam only opens to white flashing window" is still there. Entering big picture mode is only a workaround. @logslmao

Bug is still present. Not fixed on Nvidia Drivers 550.
