i know this mightn't be a good fix but you could use something like nova launcher which allows you to change the names and icons of apps arbitrarily
getting the same problem for spotify web player with updating `repeat`, `volume`, and `state`
i like corner, but if there's no way to fix it it then i wouldn't mind if it was removed ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
