Makes sense. I have already jumped ship to 4.6 myself :)
Tried it with 2023.1.0b8 and 2023.2.0a7 as well, but same issue there :(
I created a PR for allowing to call a non-async variant, in case you want a workaround https://github.com/h8man/NavMeshPlus/pull/131
