As far as I know, sxhkd has ability to remap key up event, may be you could learn something from it repos. I love both xkeysnail and sxhkd!

Sorry for the confusion, I didn't know that [dictionary,](https://github.com/dreamofi/yomichan-Vietnamese-dictionary). Until you mentioned it I install and use it (with yomichan). It has both words and characters and is quite complete...
