I haven't tried it in VMware and didn't manage to get it working in QEMU, but it does work in VirtualBox if you start it with WLR_NO_HARDWARE_CURSORS=1.

Started for me as well today. Edit: For me it looks like an more aggressive automatic block from YouTube. Works again after waiting for a while.
