@mbyio On GKE, for example, you cannot change autoscaler configuration, afaik: https://cloud.google.com/kubernetes-engine/docs/concepts/cluster-autoscaler#scheduling-and-disruption

According to https://cloud.google.com/kubernetes-engine/docs/release-notes#October_27_2021: _"In GKE version 1.22 and later, GKE cluster autoscaler (...) will support scaling down nodes with pods requesting local storage."_
