Would recommend trying current firmware (3.3.x or 3.4.1) and seeing if the issue remains.
Did you select the internalaccess option in Companion before downloading the firmware?
Works correctly on the shipping MT12 firmware as well in my testing

Make sure you select the X10 Express in your radio profile, not the regular X10 + internalaccess
