If the intent was to support DNS autoconfiguration via SLAAC, then indeed that seems still not to be working. Static DNS is working after your fix. It would be good...
I tested this fix on two systems, and just discovered that after leaving both of them running for a week or so (with IPv6-configuration-mode=Autoconf, but a static IPv6 DNS server)...
NB: 7660ecd6206f2436f0c6a16c32cd5a4b342127e6 adds a new intl string which may need translating.
