On the previous pull request I had changed some code to use sudo instead of su. This has been fixed in the latest version - your 'su' command was better.
Not to my knowledge, would be a great thing to revisit in upcoming 1.0.
Status update: Now that training is stable in the pytorch branch this is on the top of our list to do. We might release 1.0 first.
We were just looking at this! Pytorch vision has a way to do this automatically, but we need to add a custom data loader. This would be after 1.0 release....
