Agree with @iadonkey suggestion, particularly for EDS files. It would be good if those were versioned. We also often use json docs to store object configurations, and/or recipe type information....

Yes. As there is no default package manager for versions less than 4024, this also seems the quickest way to enable specific recreation of solutions/deployments, particularly when managing multiple sources...
