About the threshold i'll suggest 3000000 gas units at 25 Gwei gasprice as the upper limit "hardcoded" : that's 0.075 ETH should be more than enough in most gas market...
I'd love to, but frontend is controlled by Avara, not the DAO. I've been fighting for a Rabby option for years at this point.
