I think at this point, it makes sense to use https://github.com/avevlad/gulp-connect. It doesn't have any vulnerabilities and works just the same. It took me ~3 minutes to swap libraries.

[Feature Request] Get user timezone offset

Just a thought, but a feature like this would make the app less private: you would be able to pinpoint specific users to specific timezones, meaning you potentially locate them...
