Using emoji does cause the same crash for me.
On a tweet that I want to retweet with comment. Click the retweet button, click retweet with comment, click the heart (emoji) button , start to scroll and select emoji...
This is still happening at times. Caused a crash today.
Just moved back to Tweeten as there are too many crashes lately. Will no doubt try again in the future if Tweeten starts to have issues.
