The help page states: Select HTML template for webmap - add your own templates to the /qgis2web/templates directory in your .qgis2 folder The right QGIS 3 folder is C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\QGIS\QGIS3\profiles\default\qgis2web\templates

I prefer the Leaflet maps from Openlayers since they automatically has a legend with symbols. But there is not going to be that many layers with a bunch of symbols...

When you run isochrones as polygons from layers the resulting polygons for a given distance are dissolved so overlapping polygons for points being close to each other are "glued together"....
