Sorry. Right now it does not support adding devices manually. However, it will be added in the future but only after v2.0 has been released.
Support for manually adding instruments is added in f243363fafd273d966d1ef22a373352432584717 and will be part of the next release.

According to the man page there is a '-k' option to use 1024 byte blocks.
I believe that @pnrhub tested the xymodem (#208) feature with lrzsz suite (rx/ex etc.). Maybe he used some specific options. I'm not sure.
