Agreed with all of the above. Across a lot of Digital Trading we're currently supporting IE11+. This will allow for a lot of specs being fully supported such as Flexbox...
Also is it worth we mention that on desktop browsers we support the last two major versions of X and then exceptions for Y and Z

😆 The JS options approach will provide more flexibility and keep reliance away from the markup as much as possible, IMO
