Ah, but that's what you get when you create a timeline room, I'm talking about the one which is "[Twitter] Your timeline", and I'm not quite certain on the terminology...
This shows the member list in Riot of a room that has been provisioned three timeline links: @cnn, @bbcnews and @nasa. I did the provisioning and then left the bridge...
On further investigation, this just affects retweets. When a linked timeline does a retweet, one of these "blank" users gets created.
