I think we should also check what are they take into duplicate formulae and so. Either we ask in the issue tracker of core or here: https://discourse.brew.sh
@grischard I really don't know what is your specific problem, but as thing are right now, you can make it work qgis with a little bit of tweaking. At least...

PS/ in the opinion of some of us, we have to best QGIS in years using Homebrew, and I would say that it's even better than the one you can...
