Same issue here. As you can see, my headphones are connected(shows even battery level), but shows like it's not connected. But device is completely operational though.  The issue started...
Figured out something: downgrading to Linux 6.8.1 seems to work, all Linux 6.8.2, 6.8.3, 6.8.4 and the 6.9-rc3 is affected
Someone found the issue: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=218680 and fix was merged into bluetooth-next https://github.com/bluez/bluetooth-next/commit/e6bb15dbae900b71b69fc52a9f640d699bb840b4 An acquaintance helped me find this information :)
