I was thinking of doing this sometime in the future, but in a way that works with every player size. It is low priority as of now however.
I know this is going to sound weird, but try enabling "Always show sidebar", and tell me if that fixes things.
That option forces the regular sidebar to always be visible no matter which page you're on, and no matter your zoom level. I believe it also hides the mini sidebar...
