sendxmpp doesn't use IO::Socket::SSL directly. Which version of libnet-xmpp-perl (Net::XMPP::Client) do you have?

will take a look on Net::XMPP::Roster module ;-)
For OTR reading Jabber messages is required. It was not implemented in old sendxmpp. I wrote simple sendxmpp2 and now we are able to send jabber messages in both directions....

@Neustradamus thank you for the list of other projects. I'm not sure how to prepare similar list for sendxmpp. Any idea?
