Looking at this closer the only configuration that will work is to have servicenodes all defined with mgtifname set to something like "!remote!,eth0" and no dhcpinterfaces set in the site...
This is also failing on bash version GNU bash, version 5.0.17(1)-release (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu) for ubuntu 20.04.
My insane workaround at the moment is to use an external datasource with a script to queue information to match what has changed and inject that value into the place...
