Use zeit/pkg instead!

For people that may have stumbled upon this, here's a better free alternative to try: https://github.com/zeit/pkg (I'm not affiliated with either package, just mentioning this in case.)

`var`s went out of style a long time ago, and the code would look much nicer if it was modernized.

Currently there are only two rather bad tests (and linting would be nice!)
