I have the same issue with both downloading the 2.8 from here and installing the 2.7.1 from conda. Update failed. Is your internet connection okay? Update manage to get Krona...
I managed to download the files manually without problem I don't know why Krona is having problems.

I ended up installing it in the labs workstation on the WSL Ubuntu 20.04. No luck with the Mac OS.
