I would like to note that I tried the addon Request Control (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/requestcontrol/) and it appears to have the same issue; it works fine on desktop but not on Android.

It seems this may never be resolved due to new Fenix addon restrictions. Closing for now.

If you don't like the usage of `mktemp`, it would be possible to mimic its behavior by generating a random string using `tr` and `dd`, like in `pw_add`.
