I strongly support this idea and cannot believe the feature doesn't already exist. Besides having to remember all possible PGSQL types, it is extremely tedious to manually type the datatype...
I'm on OSX 10.6.8 and just installed this package. It's a "no go" for me as well. Does not appear to work regardless of key combinations I've tried.
