The Libre 1 bug that was reported a very long time ago, wasn’t probably even a Libre issue, but caused by the the Bluetooth interface placed on top of it....

The restriction is not there because the BG’s aren’t smooth. It is there because the MiaoMiao (or other brand Bluetooth) interface for the Libre1 was giving out flat BG values...
