I'd like to second this feature and add: ability to change the background color of folder icons on the desk top edit: I found the option in theme>theme setting menu...
also a way to use the command line would be neat

well as long as it keeps working in modern blender I'm happy, and it does afaik
tested in most recent blender version 4.5.1 LTS and it no longer works id like to think its an easy fix but things are so different now im not sure
