Same error happening now. I just encountered it through the `py-contractions` package that relies on `language-check`. (See issue [here](https://github.com/ian-beaver/pycontractions/issues/12).)
I know!! I am so happy to have come across your package though! (Found it when I looked over the `spaCy` code!) I have had so much trouble with flushing......
