Software acts as though `--deep-recurse` is specified, even when it's not

I'm on 0.2.0: ``` $ git project --version git-project 0.2.0 ```

`:environment` doesn't seem to work with `PATH`

I'll try the patch when I can - I'm on `sbcl`.
