@lewispham - I'd say go for it anyway. Worst that happens is you end up with a fork that has a useful extra feature... I'm currently trying to get this...
@luizcieslak - it wouldn't need to be Android-only: the lib is using AVPlayer on iOS, which also supports playback speed setting. Should be reasonably simple to add support on both...
