I have come to the conclusion that there should be a PrivateKey recorded somewhere, which has gone missing. If this is the case, can anyone help me in retrieving it....

Problem solved - switched to Compatability Mode
Any answer yet? I tried XDMessaging.Lite under .NET Core 7.0, but get a MissingMethodException on registering a Channel.
