FWIW I previously also encountered similar issues - the solvimg would just insanely long - when using implicit solvers on a non-stiff system that worked just fine with explicit methods....
Hi, I think what you are trying to do here is not really well-defined. A delta distribution is not something you'll be able to handle directly in any numerical code....
